IATF 16949 Auditor Course Outline – 3 days

IATF 16949 Auditing with focus on 2nd party auditing

This 3-day course is designed for new and experienced auditors who need to perform second party and/or internal audits to IATF 16949:2016.

On days one, two and part of day 3, the participants will complete an in-depth review of ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, MAQMSR requirements and supplier development using group exercises and learn the tools to effectively prepare and conduct audits.

On day 3, after completing the exercises from day one and two, the participants will be engaged in the principles of process-based auditing and audit planning.

Participants are encouraged to complete the AIAG Core Tools Self-Assessment to assess proficiency in the core tools prior to attending auditor training (auditor competency requirements are defined in IATF 16949 Section 7.2.3 and 7.2.4).  The core tools linkages will be discussed within the framework of the course.

Demonstrate an understanding of risk-based thinking

Identify the requirements applicable to an IATF 16949:2016 audit

Apply auditing skills in accordance with ISO 19011
